Estos cursos comprenden una modalidad de capacitación intensiva de cinco días de duración con encuentros diarios de cuatro horas y media cada uno. Están destinados a docentes de todo el país y de todas las áreas de educación.

1. Título del curso: STORYTELLING & DRAMA TECHNIQUES IN THE EFL CLASSROOM

Copete (síntesis):

In this workshop, we will work on a specific approach to tell stories in the EFL classroom, which entails a focus on sensory image. Taking the story itself as a springboard, we will explore and experience several drama techniques and narrative games that may cater for diverse ages, levels and learning styles. Teachers will be able to create their own tool kit of strategies to put into practice before, during and after telling a story in class.

2. Título del curso: INTEGRACIÓN DE RECURSOS DIGITALES EN LAS CLASES DE LENGUAS EXTRANJERAS: IMÁGENES, SONIDOS, HISTORIAS DIGITALES.

Copete (síntesis) :Los recursos digitales son una herramienta importante que motivan e incentivan el trabajo de docentes y  alumnos. La integración de estos recursos en la clase de lengua extranjera la acerca al mundo real. En este curso ,100% digital, vamos a trabajar con diferentes recursos que nos permitirán integrar el uso de tecnología  a las clases: Imágenes, Escenas de películas, clips,  Mapas mentales, word clouds, historias.

3. Título del curso: ENSEÑAR LENGUAS EXTRANJERAS EN UN AULA AUMENTADA

Copete (síntesis): Adoptar las TAC (Tecnologías del Aprendizaje y el Conocimiento) en el aula implica ir más allá del valor instrumental que las TIC han aportado a la educación. En este taller vamos a trabajar desde la didáctica de la enseñanza de las lenguas extranjeras para poder aumentar nuestras aulas y mudarnos a la educación del siglo XXI.

4.  Título del curso: GRAMMAR & VOCABULARY KIT: strategies, tasks and games to teach grammar and vocabulary to young learners.

Copete (síntesis) : No doubt that grammar and vocabulary are two vital components  in any  language learning lesson, but it is true that young learners usually find grammar and vocabulary lessons boring and repetitive. Do not despair. Help is on the way! In this course we will refresh basic principles , explore other options to teach grammar and vocabulary and try out  hands-on tasks to make our vocabulary and grammar lessons more memorable and effective.

Abstract: Assessment has nearly gained as much relevance as teaching and learning in the field of English Language Teaching. Even though some teachers still see assessment as something that occurs separately from teaching and learning, many others regard it as an integral part of the teaching and learning process.  However, the test, the practical activity used to assess students’ ability, skill, or knowledge, does not always show what it purports to measure and the results of such test may appear to be different from what the teacher expected.

Abstract: This course aims to introduce teachers to the latest objectives in pronunciation teaching,stressing its role for successful communication. Participants  will be engaged in a pronunciation teaching project for a hands-on experience of how to make a good selection of content and class materials, how to plan out their lessons and how to assess students’ overall performance to the best of their ability.

Abstract: In this course we will first discuss the impact of technology on EFL classes and on teachers´ planning and practice. After analysing how to plan critically and creatively our lessons using the textbook as a springboard and not as a straightjacket, we will create our own material to supplement course books with the aid of ITC. We will end up the course by designing a complete topic-based project integrating resources downloadable from the internet and adaptable to different contexts. Throughout, we will bear in mind the intricate relationships among content, technology and pedagogy.

CURSO DE INGRESO A LA DOCENCIA PARA ESCUELAS PLURILINGÜES

Perfil del cursante:

·        Docentes graduados de profesorados de francés, inglés, italiano y portugués reconocidos por el GCBA. Estos profesorados pueden estar ubicados en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, la Provincia de Buenos Aires u otras provincias.

·        Alumnos avanzados de los profesorados mencionados anteriormente. Se entiende por avanzados a los alumnos que han cursado al menos la mitad de su carrera y que han aprobado al menos una de las materias pedagógicas.

Este curso propone una formación destinada a los profesores que deseen trabajar en las escuelas de modalidad plurilingüe.

Se dictarán encuentros en español común para todos los docentes participantes y encuentros específicos en la lengua extranjera a enseñar.

El docente- cursante deberá realizar observaciones de clases en escuelas plurilingües y aprobar los respectivos informes que se realizarán a partir de guías brindadas por los capacitadores así como también deberá realizar planificaciones para clases de 80’ cada una según pautas fijadas por los capacitadores y una evaluación final individual, escrita y presencial.

Abstract: Este curso desafía a los docentes de lenguas extranjeras a integrar los contenidos de las áreas curriculares en sus proyectos de aula. Abstract: Year after year, students lay bricks on a linguistic wall that they hope will stand erect and solid. However, for different cognitive reasons, some of those bricks sometimes fall off the wall, leaving holes of inaccuracy in it.

In this course, you will be able to express your ideas on each chosen text in a learning environment characterized by "no thought control." While doing so, you will be picking up the fallen grammatical bricks and placing them in your wall again.

Abtract

Language learning is hard work… Effort is required to understand, produce and manipulate the target language. Well-chosen games are invaluable as they give students a break and at the same time encourage learners to sustain their interest and work. Games also help the teacher to create contexts in which the language is meaningful and useful. We will see how through playing games it is possible to learn a language as well as enjoy oneself at the same time.

Who are digital natives? How do digital natives prefer to learn?What is the model 1:1? What is b-learning and u-learning?  How can teachers enhance their classes with digital resources? These and other queries will be addressed in the workshop. Participants will explore different possibilities to incorporate digital technology as an invisible tool in the EFL classroom. 

This workshop offers hands-on experience to evaluate, adopt and adapt digital resources for the EFL class.

Abstract

Reading and Writing are two macroabilities that play an important role in the learning of English in school contexts. As these macroabilities are interrelated, teachers should develop materials taking both of them into account. In our school we have heterogeneous groups of students, therefore we have to provide different tasks with different texts for each group. The objective of this course is to discuss different theoretical approaches in order to reconsider our teaching strategies and develop materials that are interesting for the groups of students we work with.

Abstract: All classes are mixed ability to one extent or another. Therefore, bearing in mind that students differ as learners and that equal is not always fair, this workshop has been designed to help upper form teachers meet the diverse needs of all students. This course offers a theoretical framework based on the theories of multiple intelligences, learning styles and brain based learning, among others, but its main objective is to provide teachers with practical and challenging ideas that they will be able to apply in their daily practice with their mixed ability students.

Cet atelier vise l'analyse en classe d'un corpus d'oeuvres littéraires courtes (contes, nouvelles, fragments de romans) dans le but principal de transmettre les clefs pour l'enseignement d'une langue étrangère à partir du texte littéraire. On mettra l'emphase sur des activités d'exploitation écrite et orale des sources littéraires. On présentera des textes appropriés pour l’école primaire et pour le collège/lycée.

Abstract

In this course, you are going to be reading several core-shaking texts that will shatter the long-held belief that the question is whether to be or not to be. While discussing each text, you will learn relevant lexical items and re-systematize the grammar patterns that you may still be struggling with.

Abstract

Together we will explore possible sources of conflict in our classrooms. We will analyze episodes that we find difficult to understand and approach literature that can open up for us new ways of looking at situations that looked impossible to improve. Strategies for action will be more an outcome of a new way of looking at the conflict than a product of memorizing a list of possible strategies.

Abstract

Partindo da reflexão e experiência docente dos formandos no uso de materiais autênticos como a publicidade e a imprensa, é objetivo deste curso trabalhar, por um lado, a fundamentação teórica que diz respeito ao desenvolvimento das competências comunicativas em língua e, por outro, produzir materiais didáticos destinados ao ensino-aprendizagem de Português Língua Estrangeira.

6) Título: From EFL teacher to EFL material designer in the “Word Processor” and “You Tube” Era.

Abstract

In this course we will learn how to plan critically and creatively our lessons using the textbook as a springboard and not as a straightjacket. We will then, create our own material to supplement course books with the aid of word processors and other easy-to-use software (Paint, Power Point, Inspiration). Finally, we will end up by designing a complete topic-based project integrating resources downloadable from the internet and adaptable to different contexts.

Abstract

Language learning is a hard task... Constant effort is required to understand, produce and manipulate the target language. Well-chosen games are invaluable as they give students a break and at the same time allow students to practise language skills. Games are highly motivating since they are amusing and challeging, Games also help the teacher to create contexts in which the language is meaningful and useful.

Games encourage, entertain, teach and promote fluency. If not for any of these reasons, they should be used just because they help students see beauty in a foreign language and not just problems that at times seem overwhelming.

8) Título: Fostering the use of ICT in the English classroom.

Abstract

During the course we are going to analyse the “why’s” for the inclusion of ICT in the English class – avantages and disadvantages. Deal with “Blended Learning” as one of the possible ways to update and even transform foreign language teaching. Familiarize with ICT terminology. Introduce ICT resources, materials, apps and more. Guide teachers to choose good effective web sites. Help developing resources, tasks and activities for the English class.
